In 1879, Henry and Louis Boder started the banking firm of Boder Brothers. Their place of business was in a frame building forty feet north of this structre. It was destroyed by fire in 1872. The same year this brick structure, with clipped corner and faux-rusticated-stone stucco, was erected.
The upper floor was used by the Odd Fellows as a lodge hall.
Current owners are renovating the building.
